Felony Arrest in Graves County

(Hickory, KY) - Kentucky State Police were observing for a vehicle involved in a firearm theft. Trooper Trevor Pervine observed the vehicle, driven by Israel Nightingale, northbound on KY 303 and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. Mr. Nightingale failed to yield to emergency equipment and turned onto Charles Drive. Trooper Pervine followed the vehicle to Paris Road, then onto KY 97, where the vehicle headed south at a high rate of speed. Trooper Pervine pursued the vehicle until Mr. Nightingale lost control at the intersection of Whitlow Lane and Scott Road, where the vehicle came to rest in a field. Mr. Nightingale attempted to flee on foot, but was overtaken by Trooper Pervine and Trooper Joe Gregory. Mr. Nightingale was taken into custody and lodged in the Graves County jail on charges of Fleeing/Evading Police 1st and 2nd degree, seven counts of Criminal Mischief 2nd degree, two counts of Criminal Mischief 1st degree, five counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st degree, Driving Dui Suspended-Aggravated, Resisting Arrest, Speeding, Reckless Driving, two counts of Disregarding a Stop Sign, Disregarding a Traffic Control Device, Driving under the Influence 2nd-Aggravated, No or Expired Ky Registration Plates, No Registration Receipt, No Insurance and Possession of an Open Alcoholic Container in a Motor Vehicle.
