Fatal Collision on KY 274 in Trigg County

(Mayfield, KY) - On 01/04/2009 Mr. George B. Dunn was travelling North on KY 274, and Mr. Codie C. Atwell was travelling South on KY 274. The vehicles met in a curve just North of Calvery Baptist Church where they collided near the centerline. Mr. Dunn was transported to the Trigg County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the attending physician. Trooper Wright was assisted at the scene by Trigg County EMS, Trigg County Rescue Squad, and the Cadiz Police Department. The investigation is continuing by the Kentucky State Police.
