KSP Post 16 Graduates First Citizens Police Academy Class

(Henderson, Ky.) -- On Thursday, December 17, 2009, the Kentucky State Police Post 16 Henderson held its graduation for its first Citizens Police Academy at the Moonlite Bar-B-Q in Owensboro. TFC. Corey King and Post 16's Captain Robert Shoultz, Commander of Post 16 Henderson, were on hand to present the participants with their certificates.
During the 11-week academy, the thirteen (13) participants learned about the many facets of the Kentucky State Police including patrol, traffic stops, collision investigations, commercial vehicle enforcement, criminal investigations, drug investigations, dispatching, the legal process, special operations, and Trooper Island. Participants also took part in simulated traffic stops and a mock crime scene.
