25 People Arrested in Drug Round Up

(Henderson, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police along with Owensboro Police and Daviess County Sheriff Detectives launched an investigation to identify and purchase prescription drugs from persons trafficking in controlled substances in the Owensboro area. The three month investigation yielded 31 sealed indictment warrants for those recognized in the investigation. Numerous controlled substances were purchased to include ecstasy and oxycontin which where purchased by detectives.

At 830am this date (10/15/2009), detectives with all three agencies served 24 total arrest warrants without incident. This investigation was started in response to numerous complaints received from the public about persons trafficking in prescription controlled substances. All were lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.

There are still seven people remaining to be located and arrested. Their names are unable to be released due to there being issued sealed indictment warrants.

The following are those who were located and arrested:

5. Garrard, Scott E/Owensboro/32yoa/Traf Controlled Substance, 1st degree, 1st offense.
6. Bristow, Laura B/Owensboro/29yoa/Traf Controlled Substance, 1st degree, 1st offense.
