Robbery Investigation in Sturgis, Ky

(Henderson, Ky.) -- On Saturday 10-10-2009 at approximately 9:30 pm the Quick Stop convenience store located at 9384 Hwy 60W in Sturgis was robbed by a masked assailant. The robber entered the store and demanded the employee turn over the cash from the business. He had on a black ski mask and it is believed he was armed with a handgun. The employee complied and was not harmed. The suspect then left and fled the area. The suspect is believed to be a white male, about 5'9" to 5' 11" tall, thin build. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a dark colored hoodie sweatshirt and jeans.

In the early morning hours of this same date, several hours prior to the robbery, this business was burglarized. It is not known if the two incidents are related. Officers continue to investigate and anyone who might have information concerning either of the two crimes is urged to call Kentucky State Police.
