Injury Collision on KY 2226 in McLean County

(Henderson, KY) - Jared Hicks was traveling westbound on KY 2226 near the intersection of KY 81. Amade G. Garcia was driving a 1996 Chrysler northbound on KY 81. Mr. Hicks stated his brakes felt as though they malfunctioned and slid past the posted stop sign and into the intersection. Mr. Hicks' 1993 Ford F-150 truck struck Ms. Garcia's 1996 Chrysler. Both vehicles were redirected and slid off KY 81 onto the shoulder of the road. All parties (Amade G. Garcia, Lupita Hernandez, Guadupe Quiliaco & Victor Trinidad) in Ms. Garcia's vehicle were taken to OMHS in Owensboro by McLean County EMS. Both occupants (Jared Hicks & Daniel A. Hickss) in the Mr. Hicks' vehicle reported no injuries; however, Jared Hicks was cited into McLean County Court for driving on a suspended operator's license. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and were towed from the scene. Trooper Corey King investigated the collision with the assistance of McLean County Sheriff's Deputy Chris Roush.
