Russell County Meth Lab Arrest

(Russell County, Ky.) -- On Wednesday, December 16, 2009, Trooper Jeremy Johnson was on routine patrol on South US127 when he observed a violator. Trooper Johnson turned on the vehicle and observed the operator throwing items out of the vehicle. The vehicle then proceeded onto Basket Factory Road before coming to a stop. Trooper Johnson then discovered the operator of the vehicle, Jerry P. Stallings, age 32, of Bronston, Ky., had numerous items in the vehicle used to make methamphetamine. Trooper Johnson arrested Stallings and charged him with speeding, reckless driving, improper passing, dui 2nd , failure to signal, failure to wear seatbelt, tampering with physical evidence, manufacturing methamphetamine 1st, fleeing or evading police 1st, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating on suspended license. Mr. Stallings was lodged in the Russell County Jail. Tpr Johnson also executed a Wayne County Bench warrant on Stallings. Trooper Johnson was assisted at the scene by Detective Russell Decker, HIDTA Detective Eddie Paul Murphy, the Russell Springs Fire Department and the Jamestown Fire Department.
