One Injured in a Single Vehicle Collision in Monroe County

(Monroe County, Ky.) -- A collision occurred at 5:11pm CST on Gamaliel Road 5 miles south of Tompkinsville. Ethan Strode, age 17, of Tompkinsville was operating a 2002 Chevy Tahoe northbound on KY 100. Mr. Strode failed to negotiate a turn and dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Strode's vehicle then struck a tree, ejecting him from the vehicle. Seatbelt was in use. Mr. Strode was transported by Monroe County EMS to the Monroe County Medical Center, and then airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital. Trooper Logan Richardson is investigating.
