One Injured in a Single DUI Vehicle Collision

(Casey County, Ky.) -- A collision occurred at 8:09 p.m. on 11/21/2009 on Ky 910, 7 miles South of Liberty. Samuel Rodriguez, age 25, of Liberty, belted, was operating a 2001 Dodge Northbound on Ky 910 when his vehicle left the roadway,he overcorrected, and ran off the other side of the roadway and struck a fence. Mr. Rodriguez was arrested at the scene and was charged with DUI, No operators License, Failure of owner to maintain required insurance, No registration receipt, Leaving the scene of an accident. Mr. Rodriguez was lodged in the Casey County Jail. Mr. Rodriguez was not injured. A passenger, Lauren Thomas, of Liberty, belted, was treated and released at Casey County Hospital.

Trooper Bryan Shepard investigated. Casey County Sheriffs Department assisted along with Dunnville and Evona Fire Departments.
