Shooting Investigation

(Columbia, Ky.) -- Post 15 is investigating a shooting that occurred on Rocky Hill Church Road in Monroe County in the afternoon of Sunday, November 8, 2009. Jose Alfredo Vera Hernandez (Hispanic male, age unknown) was flown to Vanderbilt University Hospital and was later released. The suspect is an unknown Hispanic male who goes by "Chopas" and is possibly operating a green Ford Explorer. If anyone has any information regarding this investigation please contact the Kentucky State Police, Post 15 at 270-384-4796. Detective B.J. Burton is investigating.
