One Injured in a Single Car Collision on KY 84

(Marion County, Ky.) -- A collision occurred Sunday afternoon at 1:29pm three miles East of Raywick on KY 84. Jonathan C. Thomas, age 17 of Raywick was traveling East on KY 84 in a 1999 Buick Century when he dropped off the shoulder of the roadway, overcorrected, and struck an embankment. Mr. Thomas stated he had dropped his cell phone and bent down to pick it up, causing the collision. Mr. Thomas was wearing his seat belt and not injured. Two passengers in the vehicle, Thomas Vinson, age 17 of Loretto was wearing a seat belt, treated at Springview Hospital; Austin Wethington, age 16 of Raywick was also wearing a seat belt, he was not injured.

Tpr. Brian Coyt is investigating the collision. Marion County EMS, Raywick Fire Department, and Marion County Rescue assisted at the scene.
