June Activity Report From Post 15

(Columbia, Ky.) -- During the month of June, 2009, there were 29 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.

There was one fatality:

HUTCHINSON, WILLIAM J.; Parkers Lake, Kentucky, was killed in Casey County on 6/26/2009.

This brings our yearly fatality count to 24 compared with 21 through this same period in 2008.

State wide fatality count stands at 374 compared with 379 through this same period in 2008.

During the month of June, 2009, there were 1051 citations written, 243 courtesy notices written, 2082 vehicles inspected, 866 complaints answered, 116 motorists assisted, 66 criminal cases opened and 213 criminal arrests made.
