Memorial Day Click It or Ticket Campaign

An image of Click it or Ticket logo(Columbia, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police have begun the annual "Click-it-or-ticket" blitz for the Memorial Day Holiday period. Troopers will be out in force looking for people who aren't wearing their seatbelts or using proper child restraints and booster seats.

During the 2008 Memorial Holiday period, Post 15, which includes Washington, Marion, Taylor, Green, Casey, Russell, Adair, Metcalfe, Monroe, Cumberland and Clinton Counties, worked 145 crashes with 39 injuries and 1 fatality.

Statewide, in 2008, there were 9 fatalities involving 3 motor vehicles; 4 ATV's; 1 motorcycle and 1 pedestrian.
