Injury Collision on Ky 55 in Taylor County

(Taylor County, Ky.) -- A Collision occurred at 2:25p.m. approximately 8 miles South of Campbellsville on Ky 55. David Webster, Age 23, of Campbellsville was operating a 2000 Mercury Cougar. Mr Webster was not wearing a seat belt. He was traveling Southbound on Ky 55 and was in a passing lane. Upon approaching a vehicle which was turning left, Mr. Webster lost control of his vehicle and crossed into the Northbound lane where he was struck in the passenger side by a 2000 Ford Taurus which was operated by Michael Lostutter, Age 52, of Louisville. Mr Lostutter was also belted.

Both drivers were transported to Taylor Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision.

Trooper Brian Coyt is investigating. He was assisted at the scene by Trooper James Richard. Taylor County Rescue and Taylor County EMS also responded.
