Update to the Death Investigation

Date of News Release: 11/17/2009

(Ashland, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police in Ashland responded to a residence on North Anglin Branch in Carter County, KY. Upon arrival units located Calvin D. Fannin (age 51). Mr. Fannin had sustained apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased by the Carter County Coroner. An autopsy will be conducted on this date by the State Medical Examiners Office. This remains under investigation by Detective Michael Murriell Unit 943.

(Ashland, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police in Ashland responded to a residence off KY 1 North of Grayson to conduct a welfare check. Upon arrival subject was located deceased. Name of victim can not be release at this time reference unable to make contact with family members. The autopsy is scheduled to be performed on the victim. More information will be provided as this investigation progresses.
