August Activity Report From Post 14

(Ashland, Ky.) -- During the month of August 2009, there were 43 motor vehicle collisions investigated by State Police working out of the Ashland Post in the four counties of Boyd, Greenup, Carter, and Lawrence.

During August of 2009 there was 1 fatality in the Post 14, which occurred in Carter County compared to 2 in August 2008. Statewide fatalities stand at 508 compared to 529 for the same time period in 2008.
