Felony Arrest in Carter County

An image of Burl E. Porter, click to enlarge(Ashland, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police in Ashland have arrested a Carter County resident on charge of Murder. The Kentucky State Police received a call of a possible shooting at 6998 State Route 1. The investigation revealed that Burl E. Porter shot and fatally wounded Clara M. Porter, age 72, of Grayson, KY. Mr. Porter was arrested and lodged in the Carter County Detention Center. The case is currently under investigation by Detective Michael Murriell Unit 943
