Arrest in Greenup County

(Ashland, Ky.) -Kentucky State Police Ashland received information of suspected drug activity at 293 Sandy Cove Road in Greenup. Troopers Shannon Jones and Kris Kirk responded to the residence and made contact with Penny R. Banks. A search of the residence reveled $2,320 in cash, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and various pills. Ms. Banks was lodged in the Greenup County Detention Center on charges of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (2 counts), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Degree, Possession of Marijuana and Tampering with Physical Evidence. This case is under investigation by Trooper Shannon Jones.
