Two Injured & One Killed in a Two Car Collision on US Highway 119

(Hazard, Ky.) -- On November 2, 2009 the Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard received a call of a two vehicle injury collision on US Highway 119 North in the Ermine Community of Letcher County. Passenger in Unit 1 (Dorothy Baker Sturgill) was pronounced deceased at the Whitesburg ARH. Operator Unit 1 (Melissa Adams) and operator of Unit 2 (Richard Bowers) where treated and released from the Whitesburg ARH. The incident remains under investigation by Trooper Brandon Thomas U/764.
