Letcher County Assault 1st Investigation

(Hazard, Ky.) -- A 25 year old Letcher County man is wanted by the Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard as the result of a stabbing that took place in the Blackey community of Letcher County. On April 25th, 2009 KSP in Hazard was notified of an altercation that had broken out on a mountaintop mining site off Carbon Glow Road in the Blackey community of Letcher County. During this altercation Dustin K. Caudill pulled out a knife and stabbed Robert Michael Joseph Arredondo, age 32 of Blackey, KY approximately 5 times. The victim was transported to the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital by the Letcher ambulance service where he was treated for his injuries. A warrant for the arrest of the alleged perpetrator Dustin K. Caudill of 673 Carbon Glow Road Blackey, Ky Date of Birth: 3-31-1984 has been issued charging him with Assault 1st Degree along with several other charges. The perpetrator Dustin K. Caudill is a white male with brown hair and brown eyes, 5'9" tall approximately 156 pounds.
Trooper Ben McCray, U/357 is in charge of the investigation.
