Kentucky Traffic Enforcement Mobilization August 21st - September 7th

(Frankfort, Ky.) -- Post 12 Frankfort total enforcement actions through patrol and safety checkpoints from August 21st - September 7th 2009. This data comes from the seven counties in the Post 12 area.

Troopers working the Post 12 area issued a total of 1207 citations, 490 citations for speeding, 189 seat belt citations, 7 child restraint citations, 43 suspended licenses citations, 123 no insurance citations, 9 reckless driving citations, 52 DUI arrest citations and 635 other traffic citations.

There were 14 felony arrests, 1 stolen vehicle recovered, 27 fugitives apprehended. Post 12 conducted 25 traffic safety checkpoints.

Kentucky State Police Post 12, provides police coverage for Anderson, Fayette, Franklin, Scott, Shelby, Spencer and Woodford counties.
