Anderson County Pursuit

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- On Monday, May 23, 2009 at 5:47 PM, Trooper working Anderson County attempted to initiate a traffic stop on North Main St. in Lawrenceburg, KY. He observed the driver not wearing his seat belt and activated his emergency equipment. The driver Joshua D. Williams age 29 of Lawrenceburg, KY refused to stop. The eluding vehicle travelled though Lawrenceburg, south on US 127 and west bound onto the Bluegrass Parkway. The eluding vehicle exceeded the posted speed limits. Mr. Williams exited his vehicle and a short foot pursuit began. He was arrested without further incident and was lodged in the Franklin County Regional Detention Center.

Joshua D. Williams has been charged with failure to wear seat belt, reckless driving, driving on DUI suspended, failure to notify address change to DOT, 5 counts of disregarding stop sign, 2 counts of disregarding traffic light, fleeing and evading police 1st in vehicle and on foot, 9 counts of Wanton endangerment, unlawful imprisonment, 2 counts of Criminal mischief 3rd, and 5 counts of speeding in a restricted zone.
