Two Persons Arrested In Woodford County for Conspiracy to Murder

(Frankfort, Ky.) - The Kentucky State Police and the Versailles Police Department worked together to arrest two individuals from Harrodsburg, KY. Officers received information on a plan to murder Brian Lear age 30 of Harrodsburg, Ky.

On Tuesday afternoon, March 10, 2009 in Woodford County KSP arrested Lavena K. Lear age 26 (the victim's wife) and Mark A. Jackson age 25 both of Harrodsburg, Ky. They both have been lodged in the Woodford County Detention Center charged with Conspiracy to Murder.

The suspects discussed several ways to complete their plans to kill Mr. Lear. Through the undercover investigation they purchased what they thought was a real hand grenade to uses in their plans to kill Mr. Lear.

Both were arrested with out incident and the investigation is continuing by Kentucky State Police Post 12.
