Methamphetamine Lab Incident and Arrests in Laurel County

(London, Ky.) -- On Sunday, December 20, 2009, at 8:42 PM the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, in London responded to a report of a Domestic Disturbance at a residence on Douglas Boulevard in southern Laurel County.

Upon arrival at the residence the officers located the parties involved in the complaint in a bedroom, along with two (2) one step Meth labs in plain view.

Trooper Richie Baxter arrested and charged the following people:

Claude T. Powell, Jr., 44, of Corbin, charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st.

Brittany Yaden, 21, of Lily, charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st.

Both individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

Trooper Baxter is continuing the investigation and was assisted, at the scene, by Trooper Mike King and the Laurel County Department of Public Safety.
