Methamphetamine Lab Incident and Arrests in Laurel County

(London, Ky.) -- On Sunday, December 20, 2009, at 10:25 AM the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, in London responded to a report of a Methamphetamine lab at a residence on Boardwalk Circle in the East Bernstadt community of Laurel County.
Upon officers arrival at the residence the suspects attempted to conceal the active lab which resulted in it exploding.
Both suspects, one male and one female, were decontaminated at the scene by the Laurel County Emergency Management with the male being transported by ambulance to the Saint Joseph - London Hospital where he was treated and released.
Trooper Cochrane arrested and charged the following people:
Kenneth J. Parsons, 36, of East Bernstadt, charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st.
Lavonna S. Wolf, 26, of East Bernstadt, charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st.
Both individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Trooper Cochrane is continuing the investigation and was assisted, at the scene, by Trooper Staci Walker, Trooper Delzie Kelly, Trooper Jason McCowan, KSP CVE Charles Garland, the Laurel County Sheriff's Office, the Laurel County Department of Public Safety and the Laurel County Fire Department.
