Arson Investigation and Arrest in Laurel County

(London, Ky.) -- On Monday, November 23, 2009, at 8:00 PM the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, in London responded to a report of a possible arson at a residence on Hammock Road in Laurel County, Kentucky.

Upon arrival KSP Post 11 Arson Investigator Detective Brian Lewis determined through the course of an investigation that the fire at 93 Hammock Road had been intentionally set.

On Tuesday November 24, 2009 Detective Lewis arrested and charged:

Carl David Brown, 55, of London, charged with Arson 3rd Degree and Wanton Endangerment 1st.

Mr. Brown was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

Detective Brian Lewis is continuing the investigation and was assisted, at the scene, by the Lily Fire Department.
