Fugitive Arrest in Laurel County

(London, Ky.) -- On Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at approximately 6:30 AM the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, in London responded to a residence on Hawk Creek Road western Laurel, County in reference to the service of a warrant.
Upon arrival KSP Trooper Steve Smallwood, along with other officers, discovered Derek S. Jervis, 30, of London hiding within the home.
Mr. Jervis was charged on a Laurel County indictment warrant with: fleeing or evading police, 1st degree (motor vehicle), possessing Anhydrous Ammonia with the intent to manufacture Methamphetamine 1st offense, possessing Anhydrous Ammonia other than approved container, Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st, fleeing or evading police, 2nd degree (motor vehicle) and persistent felony offender II, in reference to two separate incidents that occurred on February 19, 2009 and March 10, 2009.
Mr. Jervis was also charged on a Laurel County criminal complaint warrant with: possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, fleeing or evading police, 1st degree (motor vehicle), manufacturing methamphetamine 1st offense, criminal mischief 1st degree, resisting arrest, assault 3rd degree (officer transporting inmates) and escape 1st degree, in reference to an incident that occurred on June 18, 2009.
Mr. Jervis was also charge with resisting arrest in reference to today&339;s (10/13/2009) arrest.
Mr. Jervis' two brothers Ralph R. Jervis, 49 and Ronnie M. Jervis, 37 both of London were also arrested during the incident today.
Ralph Jervis was charged on a flagrant non-support warrant.
Ronnie Jervis was charged on warrants for contempt of court and a violation of EPO/DVO and with resisting arrest.
Trooper Smallwood is continuing the investigation and was assisted by KSP Post 11 personnel.
