Assault 1st Investigation and Arrest in Clay County

(London, Ky.) -- On Wednesday, May 06, 2009, at 11:08 PM the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, in London was notified a possible stabbing incident on Greyhound Branch in Clay County, KY.

Upon arrival Trooper Jeff Senters determined that a verbal argument had occurred between Michael Davidson, 44, of Oneida and Herbert R. Davidson, 27, of Oneida (no known relationship).

During the verbal argument Michael Davidson produced a knife and stabbed Herbert R. Davidson in the lower abdomen.

Herbert R. Davidson was transported to the Manchester Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Michael Davidson, who fled the scene prior to police arrival, was arrested at his residence a short time later and charged with Assault 1st.

Michael Davidson was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.

Trooper Senters is continuing the investigation and was assisted by the Clay County Sheriff's Department, Oneida Fire Department and the Clay County Ambulance Service.
