Assault Arrest Bell County

(Middlesboro, Ky.) -- On 8/09/09 at 3:00 p.m. Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan responded to a complaint from Jeffrey Daniels, age 34 of Middlesboro, KY that he had been assaulted on 8/08/09 by James R. Pursiful Jr., age 49 of Middlesboro, KY. After further investigation, a search warrant and an arrest warrant were issued for Mr. Pursiful and his residence. On 08/12/09 the arrest warrant was executed on Mr. Pursiful and he was charged with one count Assault 2nd degree, one count Kidnapping and one count of Intimidating a Person in the Legal Process. Mr. Pursiful was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center.

This case is still under investigation by Trooper Tyson Lawson of Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan.
