Blue Lights Across the Bluegrass

(Harlan, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan is part of a state wide campaign called "Blue Lights Across the Bluegrass" in an effort to reduce fatalities on our roadways. Enforcement efforts will concentrate on violations for seatbelts, car seats, booster seats, speeding, impaired drivers and aggressive drivers. Troopers will be conducting saturation patrols and road checks and will maintain a "Zero Tolerance" for those offenses. Currently this year, Harlan County has had 10 fatalities, Bell County has had four fatalities and Knox County has had four fatalities. This campaign will run until Friday July 31, 2009.
