Fatal Collision on US 460 in Magoffin County

Date of News Release: 07/30/2008

(Pikeville, KY) - Unit one a 2007 Acura MBX driven by Matthew Lyon was traveling east on US 460 and entered the westbound lane striking unit two a 1990 Buick Skylark driven by Grant Helton Jr. Grant Helton Jr was pronounced dead on the scene by Magoffin County Deputy Coroner Brian Parker. Matthew Lyon was transported to Paul B. Hall Hospital in Paintsville by DHP Ambulance Service.
