Two Escapees from the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center Were Apprehended

(Pikeville, KY)- The two female escapees from the Big Sandy Detention Center in Johnson County, Ramona Mills and Haley Smith, were apprehended at a residence in Salyersville this date (07/01/08) by the Magoffin County Sheriff's Department. Both subjects are charged with Escape 2nd and are being lodged in the Big Sandy Detention Center.

(Pikeville, KY)- On 6/28/2008 @ approximately 5:10 p.m. Kentucky State Police received a call from the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center advising Remona Mills and Haley Smith had escaped. Ramona Mills of Paintsville is a white female, 5'2" , 210 lbs, blond shoulder length hair, and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing orange shorts and a white t-shirt. Haley R. Smith of Florida is a white female, 5'2" ,133 lbs, blond hair, blue eyes. Haley R. Smith was last seen wearing black jogging pants, and a white tank top. The case is under investigation by Trooper Joshua Brewer u/342.
