Assault 1st Investigation and Arrest in Pike County

(Pikeville, KY)- On May 7, 2008 at 1:22 pm EST Pikeville Post 9 received a call regarding an assault at Anderson Fork on Indian Creek in the Virgie Community of Pike County.

Trooper Jason Merlo responded to the scene and discovered that Veronica Little, 43 years of age, had been involved in an altercation at her residence on Anderson Fork. Rosetta Kendrick, 33 years of age, came to the residence armed with a knife and assaulted Ms. Little. Ms. Little sustained several laceration and puncture wounds during the altercation. Ms. Kendrick then fled the scene and was later apprehended in Pikeville. Ms. Kendrick was charged with Assault 1st degree, Burglary 1st degree and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center. Ms. Little was transported to the Pikeville Medical Center by DHP Ambulance.

The incident remains under investigation by Detective Ben Cramer.
