One Fatal in Two Car Collision on US 27 in Garrard County

(Richmond, KY) - Jimmy S. Moberly was traveling North on US 27. John Wesley was traveling South. Jimmy S. Moberly's vehicle crossed over the centerline and sideswiped John Wesley's vehicle. Mr. Moberly's vehicle then ran off the roadway and onto the southbound shoulder. Mr. Moberly's vehicle then traveled down an embankment where it struck several trees and a rock outcropping. Mr. Moberly's vehicle then struck a fence and overturned ,where it came to rest on the bank of a creek. Mr. Moberly was ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by Garrard County Coroner Daryl Hodge. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper First Class Michael Ashley.
