Armed Robbery Investigation and Arrest in Henry County

(Campbellsburg, KY.) - On January 18th, 2008, at approx. 3:38 AM, the clerk at the Cowboys BP Foodstore, in the 10,000 block of Campbellsburg Road, near I-71, contacted the Kentucky State Police Post-5, Campbellsburg, in reference to the clerk being robbed at knife point. The clerk advised that a white male entered the store, and he requested to use the restroom. When he came back he pulled out a knife and demanded money. The suspect took the money and left in a white vehicle, going towards the Interstate. The vehicle and the suspects were subsequently located and arrested by Troopers Dusty Corbin and Justin Sams, for speeding and DUI. The arrest was on I-71 Northbound, near the Boone County line in Gallatin County. Further investigation led the lead investigator of the robbery, Tpr. Tim Vinal, to charge them with the robbery as well.
Jesse Brian Waller, white male, age 24, from Key Largo, Florida, was charged with;
- Robbery 1st degree
- Terroristic Threatening
- Menacing
- Alcohol Intoxication
Jason Butcher, white male, age 34, from Grove City, Ohio, was charged with;
- Robbery 1st degree
- Speeding
- DUI 1st offense
- Possession of Open Container
Both subjects are currently lodged at the Carroll County Regional Detention Center.
