Requesting Information Regarding a Murder

(Bowling Green, KY) - On October 27, 1987, David Richard Smith disappeared. On August 24, 1998, a skull was found in the Gasper River near US 231 north (Morgantown Road). The skull was positively identified as Mr. Smith's. Mr. Smith was last seen on October 27, 1987, walking to work on Johnson Avenue, Bowling Green, KY. Mr. Smith was employed at Time Out Deli. The Kentucky State Police is attempting to identify two black males that were possibly with Mr. Smith at the time of his disappearance.
