Warren County Injury Accident

Date of News Release: 11/27/2008

(Bowling Green, KY) - Cephus W. McCall was merging onto northbound I-65 from Smiths Grove. According to Mr. McCall and witnesses, David Tull (pedestrian) entered the on-ramp lane from the right shoulder and ran into the Mr. McCall's vehicle. Mr. McCall tried to avoid Mr. Tull by steering to the left but was unable to do so. Mr. McCall's vehicle impacted Mr. Tull causing him to be thrown over the vehicle and into the rear bed of Mr. McCall's vehicle.

Investigation of the scene indicates that Mr. Tull was intoxicated at the time of this incident. Mr. Tull was flown to Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN by AIR-EVAC with critical injuries. Mr. McCall was not injured.
