December 2007 Activity Report

(Bowling Green, KY) - The Post Commander, Captain Bill Payton of the Kentucky State Police, Post 3 is reporting the following activity for the month of December 2007.

Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 1,263 citations of which 533 were for speeding and 7 for no child restraint. Troopers issued 76 citations for no seatbelts. Twenty-seven people were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 428 courtesy notices investigated 126 accidents, of which 3 were fatals, and assisted 217 motorist, while inspecting 1,744 vehicles.

Detectives and Troopers investigated 1,150 complaints, and opened 64 criminal cases, and made 176 criminal arrests.

Troopers also worked 680 special details and programs for December.
