Fatal Collision on US 62 in Hopkins County

Madisonville, KY - Kenneth Smallwood was operating a 2004 Sterling truck westbound on US 62 when he lost control of the vehicle on the icy roadway. The vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane and exited the roadway. The truck struck a tree before coming to rest off the roadway. Mr. Smallwood was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hopkins County Coroner's Office. Mr. Smallwood was wearing a seat belt. The crash remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
