DUI/Drug Arrest in Hopkins County

Date of News Release: 11/20/2008

(Madisonville, KY) - On November 19, 2008 at approximately 10:01 p.m., Troopers Stephen Oughton and Carlo Anderson conducted a traffic stop on a 1998 Oldsmobile operated by Tyler Gamblin. Upon making contact with Mr. Gamblin, Trooper Oughton suspected that he was operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs. Mr. Gamblin had a bag of marijuana in his pocket. A search of the vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia and an open alcoholic container. Joshua Mullins and Justin Goode were passengers in the vehicle. All three subjects were arrested. Tyler S. Gamblin was charged with DUI 1st Offense, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense & Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle. Joshua W. Mullins & Justin W. Goode were charged with Alcohol Intoxication. They were lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
