Injury ATV Collision on Stagecoach Road in Hopkins County

(Madisonville, KY) - Herman Stone was operating a 2005 Arctic Cat ATV southbound on Stagecoach Road when he entered a work zone where the road was being repaved. The work zone was controlled by flagmen at the north and south end of the roadway. Mr. Stone traveled around the flagman at the north end of the work zone and continued southbound. He then struck a stationary, Hyster Asphalt Roller with the front of his ATV. Mr. Stone was ejected from the ATV and landed in the northbound lane of the roadway. He was transported by ambulance to the Regional Medical Center for treatment. He was not wearing a helmet.
