Injury Collision on KY 85 in Hopkins County

(Madisonville, KY) - Daniel Johnson was operating a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire eastbound on KY 85. It appears that Mr. Johnson fell asleep. The vehicle exited off the westbound shoulder of the roadway and struck a culvert. It became airborne, overturned and struck a tree. The vehicle came to rest upside down in a yard off the westbound shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Johnson was transported by ambulance to the Regional Medical Center for treatment. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
