Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree & Arrest

(Madisonville, KY) - Kentucky State Police Post 2 received a complaint of a possible DUI in the Coiltown area of Hopkins County. Trooper Anderson observed a vehicle matching the description nearly strike a vehicle turning onto Rose Creek Road from Morgan Street. Upon turning on the vehicle, the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed in an attempt to evade Trooper Anderson. The vehicle ran into a ditch at the intersection of Hill St and Clark Street, and Mr. Christopher Turner, the driver of the vehicle, took off running into the woods behind a residence on Clark Street. After a brief foot pursuit, Mr. Turner was unable to be located. Through further investigation, Mr. Tuner was located at a residence on Earlington Road. He was placed under arrest and Transported to the Hopkins County Detention Center. Mr. Turner age 31 of Madisonville, KY was charged with:
- Wanton Endangerment 1st degree ( 2 counts)
- Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Motor vehicle
- Fleeing or Evading Police 1st on foot
- Reckless Driving
- Failure to or importer signal
- Poss of open alc beverage in motor vehicle
- Operating on suspended or revoked license
