Stolen Vehicle Arrest in Hopkins County

(Hopkins County) - Kentucky State Police Post 2 received a call from Detective Cox with the Birmingham Police Department in Alabama. She advised that she was investigating a domestic violence complaint where Mr. Hampton had stolen a vehicle. She advised that the vehicle was being tracked by GPS and gave the location and direction of travel of the suspect vehicle. KSP units made contact with the vehicle northbound on the Pennyrile Parkway and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Mr. Christopher B. Hampton was arrested without incident and lodged in the Hopkins County Jail for Receiving Stolen Property Over $300. Further Charges will be forthcoming from the Birmingham Police Department.
