Injury Collision on U.S. 41-A in Hopkins County

Date of News Release: 09/07/2008

(Hopkins County) - Eric Parrish was traveling northbound on U.S. 41-A, outside of Nebo, KY. Mr. Parrish stated that a deer ran out in front of his vehicle in the travel portion of the roadway. Mr. Parrish steered his vehicle to the left, crossing the southbound lane and exiting the left side of the roadway. Mr. Parrish's vehicle traveled down a ditch line where it struck a tree head on and caught fire. Both occupants were able to get out of the vehicle and were transported to Regional Medical Center for injuries they received as result of the collision. The collision is currently under investigation by Trooper Derek Smith U/862.
