Felony Drug Arrest in Hopkins County

Date of News Release: 08/27/2008

(Hopkins County) - On August 27, 2008, Tpr. John Komar and Mortons Gap Police Chief Danny Heggen responded to a complaint in reference to possible drug activity at a trailer located at 1050 Mortons Gap Road. At approximately 11:08 a.m., they arrived at the scene. Upon arriving both officers detected a strong, chemical odor coming from the trailer. Contact was made with the occupants of the trailer and the scene was secured. Tpr. Komar obtained a search warrant for the trailer and the property. Officers located methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, firearms and components commonly used to manufacture meth inside the trailer. In a barn located on the property, officers located more components commonly used in the manufacturing process.

Lindsay T. Littlepage age 52 of Mortons Gap, KY was charged with 1) Manufacturing Meth 1st Offense, 2) Trafficking In A Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense-Meth, 3) Possession of Marijuana, 4) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense & 5) Possession of Anhydrous Ammonia In Unapproved Container. Joy L. Boyd age 30 of Madisonville, KY was charged with 1) Possession of Marijuana & 2) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense. The subjects were arrested without incident. Both were lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center. Cleanup of the methamphetamine components was done by KSP Post 2 Units and KSP DESI West.
