Felony Drug Arrests in Muhlenberg County

(Madisonville, KY.) - On August 8, 2008, officers from the Kentucky State Police Post 2 and DESI West executed arrest warrants on two subjects for drug charges. The warrants were a result of a five-month long investigation by the Kentucky State Police. At approximately 9:30 a.m., officers served an arrest warrant on Melissa Bethel at the Muhlenberg County Detention Center where she had been lodged on previous charges. She was charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (3 counts). Ms. Bethel remains lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center. At approximately 2:26 p.m., officers executed an arrest warrant on David Dukes at the Hillside Manor Apartments in Central City. He was charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance 2nd Degree 1st Offense (2 counts) and Trafficking Controlled Substance 3rd Degree 1st Offense (3 counts). Mr. Dukes was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center. The investigation is continuing by the Kentucky State Police.
