Drug Arrest in Muhlenberg County

(Madisonville, KY.) - On August 6, 2008, at approximately 1:15 p.m., officers from the Kentucky State Police served an indictment warrant on Barry Gary at his residence located on Riverside Road in Drakesboro. Officers noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the residence. Mr. Gary was arrested on the indictment warrant. A search of the residence revealed marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Gary's wife and his infant child were also inside the residence. The Department of Social Services was contacted and the infant was placed in the care of a grandmother. Besides being served with the indictment warrant, Mr. Gary was charged with Possession of Marijuana & Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center. His wife was not charged. The investigation is continuing by the Kentucky State Police and the Department of Social Services.
