Injury Collision on US 41A in Christian County

Madisonville, KY - Timothy Norris was operating a 2002 Ford Taurus northbound on US 41A when for an unknown reason, the vehicle exited off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a utility pole causing the pole to break in half. Mr. Norris' vehicle came to rest in a field off the roadway. He was transported by ambulance to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment. Mr. Norris was wearing a seatbelt. Ronald Manabat was operating a 2002 Chevrolet Camaro southbound on US 41A. The power lines from the broken utility pole struck Mr. Manabat's vehicle causing damage to it. Mr. Manabat was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. The road was closed for several hours as crews worked to repair the utility pole and restore power.
