Injury Collision on Western Kentucky Parkway in Hopkins County

Madisonville, KY - Melba Evitts was operating a 2005 Toyota Camry eastbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway when her vehicle exited off the left shoulder of the roadway and struck a sign. Mrs. Evitts brought her vehicle back onto the roadway and overcorrected. She lost control of the vehicle and crossed both eastbound lanes of travel. The vehicle exited off the right shoulder of the roadway and struck a ditch causing it to overturn. The vehicle came to rest on its top off the roadway. Both Mrs. Evitts and her husband, Johnnie Evitts, were transported by ambulance to the Regional Medical Center for treatment. Both were wearing seatbelts.
